Pollo Journal
Stories, places and ideas to experience the lakes from a different perspective
A different way to tell the stories of our lakes
Some places can simply be visited. Others are worth taking the time to truly discover. Lakes belong to both.
In Pollo Journal, we collect stories, curiosities and insights inspired by our experiences on the water and by the time we spend exploring the surrounding landscape. We write about places that change with the seasons, nature, familiar destinations and less obvious corners, as well as the many different ways we can connect with a lake.
Every day on the water can become a story
A lake is never exactly the same as the last time we saw it. The light changes, the wind changes, water levels rise and fall, vegetation evolves and different wildlife appears. The season changes and, sometimes, what changes most is simply the way we look at it.
Many of the stories in the Journal begin with these differences: entering a reed bed by canoe, seeing a shoreline from the water, experiencing a windy day or watching autumn colours transform the landscape.
From stories to places
Some articles tell the story of a lake, others focus on an activity, a particular location or a specific experience. The Journal is therefore also a way to discover the area through a story and, perhaps, find something you may one day want to experience for yourself.
Because sometimes all it takes is a different season, a different point of view or moving just a few metres away from the shore to discover something new.
