From here, we get into Canadian canoes and follow the entire cliffside of Santa Caterina del Sasso. The perspective changes immediately: we are no longer on the road or on the shore. We are on Lake Maggiore, with the rock rising in front of us and the landscape slowly unfolding around us.

Each Canadian canoe accommodates up to four people, and larger groups can be organised using several canoes. This is not a race and you do not need to be particularly sporty. You can talk, laugh, paddle together and simply let the lake set the pace of the day.

Then we reach the Pirates’ Cove.

You can only get there by water. And that is part of its charm.

When you step ashore, it feels a little like arriving in Neverland. It is simple, rustic and far removed from the polished perfection of typical tourist spots. And precisely because of that, it makes you feel at home.

You almost feel like a child again.

Here we can stop, take off our shoes, sit down, eat, have a drink, talk for hours or simply relax in front of the lake.

Forget the Big Benches and giant benches: you do not need to build a huge viewpoint here to have something worth photographing. The terrace is already there, and Lake Maggiore is right in front of you.

An extraordinary panorama, with no special effects needed. And above all, with a feeling that is increasingly rare: for a few hours, the view feels like it belongs entirely to you.

<p>The experience generally takes half a day, but its duration and format can be changed. We can spend more time on the water, stay longer at the Cove or turn it into a fuller day.</p>

<p>But a bachelorette party is also a private moment. If you want to laugh, talk and involve me, I am there. If you want some time just among yourselves, I am equally happy to step back.</p>

<p>Part of my job is knowing when to be present and when to give people space.</p>
