More than dog friendly: your dog is part of the experience

Being dog friendly simply means that your dog is allowed to come along. A real Dog Experience starts from a different idea: creating an activity with your four-legged companion in mind from the very beginning.

That is what we want to bring to the lakes around Lake Maggiore. You get into the canoe, your dog comes with you, and the lake becomes a place to explore together. Your dog is not an extra passenger or a pet that happens to be allowed on board. Your dog is part of the experience.

A Canadian canoe is particularly well suited to this kind of adventure. It allows you to move quietly across the water, enjoy the scenery and share time together without turning the outing into a demanding sporting activity. You do not need previous canoeing experience and, for our Canadian canoe experiences, you do not need to know how to swim.

Our Dog Experiences can take place at different locations around the lakes where we operate. The scenery, route and starting point may change, but the idea remains the same: discover the water and the landscape together, without leaving your dog behind.

Meet Nagisa, our four-legged colleague

There is also a very good reason why this idea feels natural to us. Her name is Nagisa, the youngest member of our team: a mix of Border Collie and Australian Shepherd.

Nagisa reminds us that dogs experience a landscape differently from humans. Smells, sounds, wind, moving water, vegetation and unfamiliar surfaces all become part of the adventure. What we see as a beautiful lake view can be an entirely new world to explore for a dog.

A Dog Experience is therefore more than simply bringing your dog along on a canoe trip. It is a different way of discovering the landscape, giving your dog space to experience the surroundings and share the adventure with you.

The canoe naturally slows things down. You can watch the shoreline, listen to the water, notice the wildlife and discover parts of the landscape that are easy to miss from land. For your dog, it means experiencing a new environment while staying close to the person it trusts.

This is what we mean by Dog Experience: not activities that merely happen to allow dogs, but outdoor experiences where dogs genuinely have a place.
